Wrong Links on Sword of the Yue Maiden

Hi, I feel somewhat bad about signing up just to mention something is broken, but I didn’t see any simpler contact method.

After a certain point, the links in “Sword of the Yue Maiden” goes to part 3 rather than to the next part.

See: Sword of the Yue Maiden – Part 4 - WuxiaSociety

The link to Part 5 actually redirects to Part 3. This happens in later parts too.

I ended up here in a quest to find more information about “The Maiden of Yue” for my daughter. I’ll have to read through it before reading this to her, but the small bit I’ve read seems like it might be good; I just need to make sure it’s kid appropriate.

Thank you for translating this.

Given that I’ve been on your site for only a handful of minutes, I’m not in a position to donate money, but I can donate some experience:

As far as hosting fees (I saw the “Cost of Running the Site” page), I would suggest looking into Netlify, at least for the static content. (Not sure about the forum.) I’ve had a few sites hosted on Netlify for a few years and it’s cost me nothing, and with no ads. That would certainly cut some costs.

It’s been awhile since I set them up though, so I can’t tell you exactly how I did it, but the static content is in a private gitlab repo. I can edit the content, and it automatically deploys to Netlify within a couple minutes. (I used a “Hugo with Netlify” guide originally, but you don’t need to use Hugo to have it for free.)

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve fixed the error in the links. There are a few links within page navigation and I missed a couple. Really appreciate you taking the time to sign up to let me know, so don’t worry about it.

The Sword of the Yue Maiden should be alright for kids. Curious to hear if you went ahead with it and her reaction to it.

Yes, I’m looking into moving the site to a lighter setup, especially since I’ve phased out interactive functions such as comments.
